CALVIN SUMLER DESIGN

I started CALVIN SUMLER DESIGN because the world is rapidly changing and our design industry needs to evolve with it in these challenging times.

After spending 13 years as a traditional on-site Art Director and Creative Director, working in a collaborative environment with multiple teams, building well-designed campaigns from the ground up, I felt that there was something missing. There were other worthwhile methods, left untapped.

Technology is constantly making it possible to streamline one’s work – allowing for smarter, healthier, faster, and more productive ways of working off-site. Over the last five years I've been doing just that and have cultivated a creative process that guarantees results are still met, and all the creative goals are achieved. Or dare I say, exceeded. 

Creatively speaking, I tend to cross-over into different mediums at times, from photography to painting. I’ve found that designing in a workspace that remains fluid, allows unexpected influences and techniques from the fine art world to spill into my advertising and branding projects.
